Music Teacher
The Lower School (LS) Music Program promotes students’ sense of empowerment, joy and confidence and includes all interested children, irrespective of prior musical experience. The LS Music teacher has the responsibility to develop and provide a music curriculum appropriate to the interests and needs of the children in each class from our Preschool students up to our 3rd grade students. Our LS program allows for our students to join bands in a variety of genres when they reach our middle school program.
Assistant Teacher
The role of the Assistant Teacher is to enrich the children’s experience at Peninsula School. The primary responsibility of the classroom assistant at Peninsula School is to help support the Head Teacher to implement the class program. The Assistant Teacher works closely with the Head Teacher, and specific duties in each Preschool – 8th grade classroom may vary. Middle School Co-Teacher / Leave Replacement

Middle School Lead Teachers teach a specific subject and a specific grade(s) and also act as Advisors to a cohort of middle schoolers. Middle School teachers teach 3 sections. Each section has 3-one hour long blocks per week, for a total of 9-one hour social studies blocks. We are seeking a Long-Term Substitute for our Second Grade General Studies Teacher. General Studies includes Language Arts, Humanities, Math, Science, Social-Emotional Learning and Service Learning. In addition to curriculum planning and whole-group/small group instruction, our teachers are expected to differentiate the curriculum and accommodate students with specific learning needs/strengths. Collaboration with colleagues and productive connections with parents - including parent newsletters, emails, phone calls, and report cards with personalized narratives are also important expectations.
