LOWER SCHOOL FRENCH TEACHER. Long-Term Substitute (Part-time (.8) beginning November, 2024) Responsibilities Head-Royce School is seeking a culturally responsive, flexible, and enthusiastic educator to join our Lower School World Languages team to teach introductory French in grades K-5. The French teacher will introduce K-5 students to the French Language and cultures of the French speaking world, by establishing an appropriate and engaging learning environment and offering varied learning activities. The Head-Royce School envisions a future where education unlocks the promise and purpose of every student to better the world. Our faculty create classrooms that encourage students to participate in experiential learning, take risks, view the world through multiple lenses, utilize innovative tools, and demonstrate proficiencies through a range of assessments that include real world problems and performances. Beyond the classroom, teachers are expected to take on Lower-School-wide duties and participate in the life of the community.
