ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

● Native or near native proficiency in Mandarin

● Experience teaching upper elementary Mandarin in an immersion program

● Minimum of bachelor's degree

Our teacher positions are two days a week from 4:00 - 6:00pm with approximately 45 minutes of additional prep each week with an hourly rate of $75/hr. Instructional lead positions are 10 hours a week, two days a week from 3:15 - 6:15 on site and four hours of admin and meetings each week which can be done flexibly, with an hourly rate of $50/hr.

These positions are great for full-time educators, early service teachers, or semi-retired teachers who care about educational equity. We provide engaging lesson plans, activities and materials and have an incredible on-site admin staff at each site. HS Social Studies Teacher - The position entails teaching five sections and participating in the O’Dowd community. The successful candidate will be able to masterfully teach high school level Studies, from introductory courses with 9th and 10th graders to advanced courses with 11th and 12th graders.

HS Math Teacher - The successful candidate will be able to masterfully teach high school level Math courses, ranging from 9th grade Math to upper level AP Math classes.

HS Chorus Teacher (Part Time) - The Choir Director at Bishop O’Dowd High School is responsible for leading and instructing a choir class. This position requires a passionate and experienced individual who can cultivate a dynamic and supportive learning environment, foster musical excellence, and guide students in their musical development. The Choir Director will oversee all aspects of the choir program, including vocal techniques, choral repertoire, teaching music theory, preparing for competitions, and organizing performances. This position is a ⅕ position.

HS Dance Teacher (Part Time) - The classroom teacher is responsible for teaching multi-level dance classes, ranging from 9th graders to 12th graders. Such classes may range from Dance 1, 2, 3, or Advanced Dance and Composition.
