K-5 Chinese Lead Classroom Teacher (Mandarin Immersion)

K-5 English Literacy Teacher 

  • Teach 3 50-minute English blocks and 1 1-hour intervention block each day

  • Teach Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons and facilitate self directed learning (SDL) time

  • Implement Common Core State Standards-aligned and Science of Reading-aligned curriculum and lessons that build and integrate rigorous and student-centered learning experiences in English in partnership with Mandarin Chinese co-teacher leading other subjects (i.e. Chinese language arts, mathematics, social science, science)

  • Personalize learning by teaching effectively to the diversity of students in the classroom and ensuring student mastery of academic skills

  • Assess and analyze student achievement using a variety of means to collect and report on data, make strategic planning decisions, and tailor instruction to meet individual student needs

  • Use educational technology to support instruction, develop and deliver content and skill benchmarks, organize instructional materials, and track student progress

  • Establish a strong classroom culture for learning that is positive, inclusive, restorative, and contributes to the broader school community  

  • Provide access and ensure results for all students (i.e. above and below grade level proficiency, with IEP’s, English Learners) and integrate needed differentiation, interventions, accommodations, and extensions

  • Actively collaborate with all colleagues, contribute pedagogical knowledge and expertise, and provide shared stewardship of the school

  • Plan and pursue a program of personal professional growth and participate in both internal and external professional development activities

  • Build meaningful relationships and communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and other school stakeholders

  • Maintain a high-level of professionalism including meeting deadlines and commitments to self and the community

  • May participate in summer program teaching or professional learning or curriculum development

Middle School Diversity Studies & SEL (Social-Emotional Learning) Teacher (Part-Time)

We are seeking a dedicated teacher proficient in Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) and adept in Diversity Studies to join our team. This teacher will be responsible for fostering the social and emotional development of middle school students within a supportive and nurturing learning environment. This teacher will guide students in exploring the complex intersections of social identities, encompassing race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, class, religion, and ability. Through this exploration, the aim is to cultivate empathy, critical thinking, and social awareness, as well as promote cultural and diversity awareness among students.

Design Lab Enrichment Teacher

Provide a high quality, personalized education program in the creative/professional arts (visual art, design, film/music production, theater arts, etc.)

  • Make learning visible to the community in classrooms, hallways and arranging exhibits of students’ work

    • Engage students in the creative process and cultivate their talents while deepening their knowledge and understanding of art, design, or other creative arts

    • Build a classroom culture of self-expression in which students love art and utilize academic discourse to press student critical thinking about their creativity

    • Prepare lesson plans and course timelines; select supplies, raw materials, software programs and/or books for courses

    • Communicate regularly with students and their families about classroom activities and student progress

    • Identify unique student needs and collaborate with team members to effectively address those needs

  • Develop a week-long expeditionary hands-on learning experiences for upper school students

  • Actively participate in professional development activities including engaging in training with school leaders and coaches to benefit from targeted feedback on instruction

  • Collaborate with colleagues to leverage collective expertise and resources to create a positive, inclusive, and effective learning environment for students

  • Maintain a high-level of professionalism including meeting deadlines and commitments to self and the community

  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
