Position Overview

The Elementary School Teacher (K-5) will create an engaging, student-centered classroom environment that inspires a love of learning. The ideal candidate will be skilled in teaching core subjects (math, reading, writing, and social studies) and dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of young learners through differentiated instruction. This is a full-time, exempt position with an annual salary starting at $60,000 - $88,000, commensurate with experience. The School of The Madeleine is a wonderful K-8 school in North Berkeley. We use the partner teacher model, in which most classrooms have a full time lead teacher and a full or part time partner teacher. We offer many specialized classes such as Spanish, music, art, band, STEM, etc. and we are always looking for new educators who are interested in the partner teacher model, who would like to substitute teach, and who would like to share their time and talents with our school community.
