Position Overview

We are looking to hire an experienced Middle School teacher to lead small group instruction in Reading, Writing, Math, Critical Thinking & World Studies, or Observation (Art/Science). The specific content areas will be based on the candidate's prior experience and interest. Depending on the candidate, the role could also involve designing and running research projects with students, teaching social-emotional and learning skills, and advising students one-on-one or in small groups. This teaching role will work with students in small groups (~12-15 students). Red Bridge does not group students by grade level, but byAutonomy Level. Each Autonomy Level spans about three years of age difference. For academics, students are grouped based on skill level in the subject area rather than theirAutonomy Level. The Middle School Teacher position would work with students in skill-based groups. The Middle School teacher will be responsible for designing curriculum, planning instruction, collaborating with the Red Bridge teaching team, observing and taking notes on students, regular assessment of student achievement and progress, and coordinating with teachers and parents as necessary to discuss student progress. This is a full-time position reporting to the Head of School. Position Overview

The Associate Teacher position is a supporting role for the Autonomy Level 2 Learning Guide. Red Bridge does not group students by grade level but byAutonomy Level. Lead Teacher

Lead the distinctive Aim High classroom learning experience comprised of three core classes: STEAM, Humanities, and Issues & Choices (social emotional learning). Open to current educators, aspiring teachers, or those experienced in youth development work.

Instructional Coach

Lead and support the teaching teams with instructional coaching of core classes. Guide teacher professional development and support goal setting and training at sites.

Student Support Specialist

Provides social and emotional support for students and staff,
leading the vision and professional development of Aim High’s restorative justice, student intervention, and family needs. Recommended for those experienced in school counseling or social work.

Site Director:

Site Directors (SDs) oversee all aspects of an Aim High summer school campus to ensure high-quality implementation of the six-week academic enrichment and youth development program. This is a year-round position with full-time summer hours and minimal (5-10 hours a month) requirements Aug-May. With support from other Aim High staff, SDs are responsible for hiring, training, and overseeing summer faculty, typically 15 to 30 staff members, along with some student recruitment responsibilities and admissions decisions. Aim High sites have two Co-Directors working together as an effective leadership team. The ELD Instructor is responsible for delivering an effective class that promotes the English language development of students through teaching, facilitation and coordination. This role will provide you with valuable professional development and personal growth opportunities as you will have the chance to work with different grade bands (9th-12th) This role is for those who are available to work 5 days a week during the school year at Redwood City Clubhouse in Redwood City, CA and reports to the Academic Director. Drawing upon best practices in youth development, you will guide students to build academic and life skills in a meaningful and fun context.
