Summer Program Co-Director Apprentice (Seasonal Position)

The Summer at Peninsula School Co-Directors work together closely and report to the Head of School. The Co-Directors will begin their last year in June 2025 thus we are seeking someone to work alongside them for 2025 and then take on all Director responsibilities for 2026. The Co-Directors have primary responsibility for the management of the summer program. The majority of the work of the Co-Directors occurs between January and August. Primary responsibilities include: designing and maintaining a dynamic and attractive program that provides a safe and nurturing environment for summer students; hiring, managing, and monitoring a large, temporary staff of summer head and assistant teachers; managing online enrollment of students; planning and overseeing all program income and expenses; overseeing individual and group dynamics; and working with year-round staff and summer staff to maintain a philosophy and tenor consistent with Peninsula School’s mission and values.

Site Director:
Site Directors (SDs) oversee all aspects of an Aim High summer school campus to ensure high-quality implementation of the six-week academic enrichment and youth development program. This is a year-round position with full-time summer hours and minimal (5-10 hours a month) requirements Aug-May. With support from other Aim High staff, SDs are responsible for hiring, training, and overseeing summer faculty, typically 15 to 30 staff members, along with some student recruitment responsibilities and admissions decisions. Aim High sites have two Co-Directors working together as an effective leadership team. Individuals with a strong commitment to Aim High’s mission and values with experience teaching or serving in an administrative capacity in K-12 or other youth-serving organizations are encouraged to apply.

Our LS program allows for our students to join bands in a variety of genres when they reach our middle school program.
