Lead Teacher
Lead the distinctive Aim High classroom learning experience comprised of three core classes: STEAM, Humanities, and Issues & Choices (social emotional learning). Open to current educators, aspiring teachers, or those experienced in youth development work.
Instructional Coach
Lead and support the teaching teams with instructional coaching of core classes. Guide teacher professional development and support goal setting and training at sites.
Student Support Specialist
Provides social and emotional support for students and staff,
leading the vision and professional development of Aim High’s restorative justice, student intervention, and family needs. Recommended for those experienced in school counseling or social work.
Site Director:
Site Directors (SDs) oversee all aspects of an Aim High summer school campus to ensure high-quality implementation of the six-week academic enrichment and youth development program. This is a year-round position with full-time summer hours and minimal (5-10 hours a month) requirements Aug-May. With support from other Aim High staff, SDs are responsible for hiring, training, and overseeing summer faculty, typically 15 to 30 staff members, along with some student recruitment responsibilities and admissions decisions. Aim High sites have two Co-Directors working together as an effective leadership team. Individuals with a strong commitment to Aim High’s mission and values with experience teaching or serving in an administrative capacity in K-12 or other youth-serving organizations are encouraged to apply.

Music Teacher

The LS Music teacher has the responsibility to develop and provide a music curriculum appropriate to the interests and needs of the children in each class from our Preschool students up to our 3rd grade students. Our LS program allows for our students to join bands in a variety of genres when they reach our middle school program.
Assistant Teacher
The role of the Assistant Teacher is to enrich the children’s experience at Peninsula School. The primary responsibility of the classroom assistant at Peninsula School is to help support the Head Teacher to implement the class program. Peninsula Bridge, an educational equity non-profit, is looking for inspiring educators to join our 4th-7th grade After School Academy, an academic and SEL enrichment program that meets September - May at sites across the peninsula. Our teacher positions are two days a week from 4:00 - 6:00pm with approximately 45 minutes of additional prep each week with an hourly rate of $75/hr. Instructional lead positions are 10 hours a week, two days a week from 3:15 - 6:15 on site and four hours of admin and meetings each week which can be done flexibly, with an hourly rate of $50/hr.
These positions are great for full-time educators, early service teachers, or semi-retired teachers who care about educational equity. We provide engaging lesson plans, activities and materials and have an incredible on-site admin staff at each site. Teaching with Peninsula Bridge is an amazing way to have a meaningful impact on the lives of under-represented and historically marginalized students and families on the peninsula.

Instructional Coaches (ICs) are the academic leaders of our Aim High sites. They establish a learning environment in which all students: have positive relationships with teachers and feel a sense of belonging; gain and strengthen the skills to become independent learners; and develop a lifelong love of learning. Aim High ICs communicate Aim High’s teaching and learning objectives by leading professional development sessions and connecting teachers with Aim High curriculum materials. ICs coach Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and High School Instructional Assistants so that they have a safe space to grow as educators and hone new skills and strategies. They act as mentors and role models to ensure that all Aim High learning spaces are grounded in culturally responsive pedagogy and restorative practices.
