Key Responsibilities
Overtly support and act in accordance with the school’s mission and values
Teach four classes at varying levels in grades 3-8
At the elementary levels, work collaboratively with Lower School homeroom teachers to plan, teach, and assess
Demonstrate appropriate planning and preparation for instruction at all levels
Develop and maintain a classroom atmosphere centered on intellectual inquiry and student engagement.
Foster classroom community through inclusionary, compassionate, and supportive practices
Uphold professional standards of personal presentation, punctuality, professional courtesy, and discretion
Appropriately carry out specific responsibilities as designated by the division (eg. duties, advisory, outdoor education trips, conferences, admissions events)
Honor the confidentiality of school and student information
Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
Engage in self-reflection and professional development through goal setting, lesson observations, professional development opportunities, and ongoing dialog with division directors
