About Ashlee

Ashlee Gutierrez (she/her) served as a teacher, principal, and district leader in public, parochial, and charter schools before joining the BATTI team. She is a proud Holy Names alum and is currently completing a doctorate at San Francisco State University. Her dissertation study will create portraits of Bay Area school leaders who are practicing humanizing, decolonial leadership pedagogies. She lives in Oakland with her partner, Tom, who is a middle school teacher and fellow doctoral student.
