Peninsula Bridge, an educational equity non-profit, is looking for inspiring educators to join our 4th-7th grade After School Academy, an academic and SEL enrichment program that meets September - May at sites across the peninsula. Our teacher positions are two days a week from 4:00 - 6:00pm with approximately 45 minutes of additional prep each week with an hourly rate of $75/hr. Instructional lead positions are 10 hours a week, two days a week from 3:15 - 6:15 on site and four hours of admin and meetings each week which can be done flexibly, with an hourly rate of $50/hr.

These positions are great for full-time educators, early service teachers, or semi-retired teachers who care about educational equity. We provide engaging lesson plans, activities and materials and have an incredible on-site admin staff at each site. Teaching with Peninsula Bridge is an amazing way to have a meaningful impact on the lives of under-represented and historically marginalized students and families on the peninsula.

Aim High Summer Camps

Instructional Coaches (ICs) are the academic leaders of our Aim High sites. They establish a learning environment in which all students: have positive relationships with teachers and feel a sense of belonging; gain and strengthen the skills to become independent learners; and develop a lifelong love of learning. Aim High ICs communicate Aim High’s teaching and learning objectives by leading professional development sessions and connecting teachers with Aim High curriculum materials. ICs coach Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and High School Instructional Assistants so that they have a safe space to grow as educators and hone new skills and strategies. They act as mentors and role models to ensure that all Aim High learning spaces are grounded in culturally responsive pedagogy and restorative practices.

Over the past forty years, Westmark School has earned acclaim for transforming the lives of Grades 2–12 students with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and other diagnosed language-based learning differences (LBLD). Situated in Encino, California, about ten miles north of UCLA, it currently serves approximately 225 students. Westmark School is seeking a Director of Lower School (Grades 1–5) to join a forward-thinking team that specializes in serving LBLD students and seeks to deepen the School’s commitment to early intervention and a research-based approach to instruction. With the recent opening of a new, state-of-the-art Lower School Campus and an admission expansion to include first grade, this is a very unique and exciting time in the School’s history. School Climate Coordinator

E. R. Taylor Elementary School (SFUSD) • San Francisco

The School Climate Coordinator at ER Taylor, reports to Administrators and works directly with students and staff to implement the school’s Positive Behavior and Interventions/Supports (PBIS) model. This includes providing professional development on research validated curricula related to PBIS and social emotional learning, along with acting as a staff coach with a focus on implementing Restorative Justice, and alternatives to exclusionary discipline in all tier 1 settings. The School Climate Coordinator also works in partnership with all stakeholders to plan, develop and support the Restorative Practices district plan, to create a school culture shift toward SFUSD’s restorative framework. When PBIS and Restorative Practices are broadly and consistently implemented, they promote and strengthen a positive school culture and enhance pro-social relationships within the school community. In service of this goal, the School Climate Coordinator tracks student behavior data, investigates student behavior incidents, enacts behavior matrix consequences, including leading family and staff communication, and facilitates students learning to address the impact of their actions through a restorative approach.
